Tantrum. Five days away from 20 months and we’re knocking on the door of terrible two.
I swore I would never put iphone photos on here.
But I am. It’s so bloody easy just to whip out your phone and click - especially when the charger from Esme has gone west (Baxter!).
Anyway, here is a snippet from our day:

This is Baxter demonstrating one of his new favourite activities. He sits on the bench and turns the tap on and off. It’s not often I allow this, but he’s going through a stage where the only thing he wants to do is stand on a chair at the table and smack our laptops around. This is a perfect distraction (and I hear messy play is very educational).

This is Baxter getting stuck in to a fluffy. I resisted for a loooong time on these. Vita is quite an addict (I swear the first thing she ever said to me was “let’s go to a cafe and get a fluffy”). But he had one last week when all his friends were, and now he insists. It is quite nice to sit together quietly while we consume our beverages.
So that’s a snippet of a day in the life of a 16-month-old. Right now he is sleeping and I will clean the floors. Then we will got to the supermarket. Then we will get our car mirror fixed. Then we will cook two dinners, bath, read some books and go to bed.
People ask me all the time what we do with our days. I hope this helps - see I don’t spend my time reclined on a sofa with a bag of grapes while Baxter reads quietly in a corner after packing away his blocks.
